Morgan Marquette, The Dreadful Gentleman, is an unusual filmmaker.

 

Much of his world consists of black-and-white imagery with a vintage flair, often utilizing unusual items as props—most notably, skeletons or the repetitive use of older-model objects such as typewriters, phones, or clocks. These artistic expressions can most clearly be seen in his music videos, which are often filmed during a time when any one of Morgan’s neighbors might suddenly become confused by the unexpected appearance of a skeleton-in-a-wig rising up above their garden wall.

 

Morgan is most often spotted just north of Los Angeles, driving around in his 1991 Cadillac Brougham Hearse, all the while dressed in fantastical attire that typically ranges from “old fashioned gentleman” to “was that a pirate?” He has also been reportedly sighted in the Floridian town of Kissimmee for half the year though this has yet to be confirmed by any trusted news source.
